Sick

This is my sick little girl tonight watching Toy Story with her Daddy.
Isn't that just the sweetest thing ever?

Out with the old and in with the new

Last night, even though Ezri was very sick, we moved her to her big girl bed. She has started trying to climb in and out of her crib. She had not fallen yet but the day was drawing near when it would happen. We decided before that happened we needed to convert her bed into the daybed. So last night this is what her bed looked like.
With all of her friends in it.

Ok, I'll be honest. That is not what her bed looked like last night. This is what it really looked like.

I was very worried that she would roll off and that wouldn't feel too good on hardwood floors. So we put 2 blankets down, her princess couch, and then lined the couch with our couch cushions. She did not roll off last night and this morning she did not get up until I came and got her up. I do think that will change when she gets over her virus. She was so sick last night and had such a high fever that she was in the same spot this morning when I got her up that Preston laid her down in last night.
Now, just for the record I am very sad to have to post this about her bed. I wish she was not big enough for a big girl bed and that she was still small. She is growing up so fast I can barely keep up. She will be 2 years old in just 4 short months! And then she will be considered a toddler! I am not ready for her to be a toddler! Is there anything I can do to keep that from happening?!?

How do I know that Jesus watches over my precious baby girl?

Saturday morning when Ezri woke up I went into her room to get her. I walked over to her and she looked up at me and said "Hi Mommy." Oh I just love when she says that. Anyways, I asked her if she slept good and she said "Meow." I asked if Mrs. Meow slept with her and she said yes. Then she said "Woody." I asked if Woody slept with her and she said yes. Then she said "Buzz." I asked if Buzz slept with her and she said yes. Then she said "Jesus." I asked if Jesus slept with her last night and she said yes.
So, how do I know that Jesus watches over my baby? Because Ezri told me he was with her while she slept!

Honesty

I have a lot of cute videos on my cell phone of Ezri, Jacob, and Leah playing. I just have to figure out how to get them off to upload them. Until I get a chance to figure that out I would like to tell you about a conversation I had with Leah while I was visiting them in Texas. Before I tell you the conversation, here is what was going on. Leah had asked me if she and I could play a game on my cell phone. I said sure and told her to crawl on the couch while I went to get my phone. Leah got on the couch and sat right in the middle of it to where I couldn't fit. And the conversation went like this:
Me: Leah, scoot over so I can sit down. You know Auntie Dana's hiney is bigger than that!
Leah: (giggles) Auntie Dana, do you know why your hiney is soooooooo big?
Me: (cautiously) No Leah. Why is my hiney soooooo big?
Leah: (giggling harder now) All those donuts you've been eating!

Ahhhh, don't you just love how kids are so honest!!!
*For the record, I had one donut!!!*
Yes, all three kids are under that umbrella!

I took Ezri to potty and told her to go to her room. When I came in she was lining her couch with all of her friends. I asked what she was doing and she sat down on the couch and said "read!" I guess I have a story to go read! :)
